Self Portrait Project

-The self portrait project requires you to use a digital picture of yourself.

-Don't worry about eye contact or glamor photograph.

-I am requiring that you use the Photoshop selection tools, and layer blending techniques that we have learned so far. For those of you that have experience with brushes and strokes I expect to see examples of your strengths in this second graded project.

This project is intended to exercise what you have learned with Photoshop selection and layering tools. You can create your own Facebook Profile picture incorporating something from your everyday environment, your workplace, favorite color, texture, patterns, etc. which is telling to your persona.

As mentioned below the syllabus, I consider three main things in evaluating students design work.

1. Effort- ( visible in the work and/or demonstrated in class; spend quality time on your work)
2. Creativity- (Originality of your work and the use of design priciples to convey your intended message.)
3. Following directions- (Did you explore the assignment as given?)
